11 games to watch out for after E3 2021 announcements

On the night of Sunday to Monday, during a couple of sessions at E3 2021, the developers presented more than 80 games. The announcements, as usual, were accompanied by a demonstration of trailers. Publishers and developers were interviewed during the Future Games Show and PC Gaming Show, detailing the new features of the various games.

We will not remember all these games – we have chosen 11, in our opinion, the most interesting titles. The list is naturally very subjective. If there are games that we missed, and you liked them, let’s discuss them in the comments. So let’s get started.

Next space rebels

A promising game that has elements of the Kerbal space program, Theme Park and some other games. The goal of the game is to start small, developing a prototype rocket from the debris lying underfoot in your own garage, but end up launching a full-fledged rocket, just like Elon Musk’s. During the game, you will need to be an inventor, manager, PR specialist – and all this rolled into one.

Ixion

And this is a space opera created by the efforts of the Bulwark studio (in its asset – Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus). The developers said that this is a “strategic space opera for survival.”

The game combines elements of different genres. You need to explore space, build cities and not forget about your own safety. It all starts with the space station Tikkun going into space in search of a future for all mankind. The station will need to be developed, plus find new and simply forgotten planets, trade with them, and extract resources.

Icarus

A gorgeous game for fans of the survival genre with the addition of sim elements. You can play it alone or with a whole company of up to 8 people. One of the founders of the project is developer Dean Hall, who created DayZ.

But there are no zombies and post-apocalypse, but a lot of science fiction and survival. People are exploring an alien planet, where they have to find food, water, build a home and survive. We’ll have to get wood, create weapons and perform other usual actions in such situations.

As far as can be understood, after completing all the tasks and collecting the required amount of resources, the heroes can fly away and return to their base.

Happy game

A highly unusual horror adventure game developed by Amanita Design. In some ways it resembles Limbo, but much more colorful and, probably, scary. It all starts with the fact that a little boy, having played enough, falls asleep in his room.

In a dream, the boy will have to go through three worlds. This is not a shooter, so you can only go through solving various kinds of puzzles. In order not to be killed by enemies in the way, actions must be performed as quickly as possible.

Arboria

The game is a rather gloomy adventure action game with RPG elements, in which the main character, a representative of a small tribe, must save his relatives from extinction. The whole problem is that the tribe depends on the Father Tree, which is sick. He is harmed by evil personalities, with whom you need to fight, as usual, in the dungeons. Developed by Dreamplant, publisher – All in!

Early access to Arboria was offered to players back in May last year. But the full version will not appear until 2021.

Severed steel

And this is a game for fans of shooters. The main character here is a girl who is able to cope with a whole bunch of enemies alone. She has to master different types of firearms in order to fight more effectively. According to the developers, the game has elements of AI, which allows you to adapt the game throughout the passage, so that the world and battles remain dynamic and bring fresh emotions.

The world and objects in it can be destroyed, which makes Severed Steel even more interesting. Well, yes, there are elements of parkour, which you may also like.

Dodgeball academia

Dodgeball Academia seems to combine the familiar gameplay and perspective of the NES gem Super Dodgeball with RPG elements and a high school anime storyline. This Humble Games product is due out on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and Windows in August.

Rawmen

Rawmen takes elements of the Splatoon competition, adds some of the Journey experience, and wraps it all up in the food theme – but not simple. In business – with giant rolling meatballs and bouncing donuts. The game will soon appear on Xbox One, Series X / S, PS4 / 5 and Windows.

GigaBash

GigaBash is a multiplayer arcade action game where players will feel like real giants. Multiplayer battles are very colorful, giants fights take place in cities, of course, with all the attendant consequences like collapsing skyscrapers. The plot of the game begins with the awakening of gigantic monsters, with which the heroes must fight. In the video, you can see the battles of four giants on different maps.

Lemnis gate

Well, this is a turn-based strategic first-person shooter, which the developers call revolutionary. Its action takes place in a time loop, hence the name (lemniscata is a symbol of infinity). Opponents with different abilities need to fight using different abilities, weapons and their own abilities.

Each of the opponents has five consecutive moves, each of which occurs during a 25-second time loop. In general, battles take place in four dimensions, which you need to be able to use.

Esports Boxing Club

And finally – boxing. At different times, different publishers have offered their own versions of virtual boxing, but very few games have become popular. Perhaps Esports Boxing Club will succeed. The game is interesting, first of all, because in it you can bring together boxers from different eras – in total, there are about 200 athletes in the database. Put Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson in the ring? Not a problem.
