Useful resources for testers

“Testing IT systems”, “Testing web services”, “Testing mobile applications”).

If you're ready to read in English, take a look on Medium. Articles on testing can be found by tags “Testing”, “Software Testing”, “Test Automation”.

Another great site in English – guru99.com. This is a whole portal with a bunch of sections, including testing.

softwaretestinggenius.com – English-language portal with a large amount of information for testers. There are also tests to prepare for taking the ISTQB.

A special site with podcasts for testers stands out – radio-qa.com. I haven’t come across any other sites with podcasts, but if you know any, add them in the comments!

automated-testing.info – Automation forum.

Website with materials for passing the ISTQB exam – rstqb.org.

istqb-training.ru – a simulator for preparing for the ISTQB (in Russian).

YouTube channels for testers

Interestingly, unlike channels dedicated to programming languages, for example, Python, testing channels are most often copyrighted, and this is reflected in the names.

German Vargin – a channel dedicated to testing and careers in IT. Accordingly, here you will find explanations of individual terms, techniques and approaches to testing, reviews of tools, as well as tips on passing interviews, writing a resume, etc. I like the videos here with analysis of test tasks during interviews.

Ilarion Halushka – a channel with entire lectures on individual topics (1.5 – 2 hours each). The playlist “Advanced Course “Software Testing”” is especially interesting here. If you want to thoroughly understand a certain topic, you can try to find the corresponding lecture by Illarion.

Alex QA – a channel dedicated to mobile testing. There aren't a lot of videos here, but the ones there are cover the topics well. We offer lessons on the basics of testing, testing mobile applications, SQL and Postman.

Serhii Hlivinskyi – QA START UP – tester channel with 15 years of experience. The most valuable thing here, in my opinion, is the analysis of interview questions and a large course (36 videos) “Software Testing from Scratch.” But besides this, there are other issues useful for testers: on working on the command line, ISTQB certification and IT English.

Lyosha Marshall. As the author writes, his content is intended for quality assurance engineers who must understand programming, client-server architecture, databases and cloud services. Here you will find playlists such as “Fundamentals of Testing and Programming”, “Professional QA Training Course”, “Test Automation”, as well as courses on SQL, Postman, Java.

Artsiom Rusau QA Life. On Artem Rusov's channel you will find many useful lessons for beginning testers. There are also reviews of tools, advice on a career in QA, analysis of resumes and interview questions.

Look Live QA. Videos are not posted on this channel often, but there are many reviews of testing tools (Postman, Fiddler, Charles Proxy, Jmeter, Cypress). There are also courses on web and mobile testing.

All about QA – on this channel you will find a large selection of videos on testing theory, as well as separate playlists on test design, API testing and testing tools.

Alex Smith. Like all decent channels dedicated to testing, there is a course for beginner testers, but not only that. You will also find a Python programming course and a test automation course here.

cherkasovschool – on this channel you will find recordings of streams of trial interviews for the Junior QA position. In my opinion, such videos are very useful for beginners just entering the profession.

Vadim Ksendzov – recordings of trial interview streams are also published here, but are not limited to juniors.
