ICD robotic part of the functions in the operations department

As part of a pilot project, Moscow Credit Bank (IBC) launched the WALL-E robot, which automates the processing of securities accounting cards.

Before the robot was launched in the operations department, reports were daily unloaded with operations on securities owned by the bank, and certain data was transferred from such reports to summary reports for subsequent submission to the regulator. Since December 1 of this year, the bank required daily processing of charges, which increased the complexity of the process by more than 3 times.

To reduce bank costs and speed up the process, ICD IT specialists implemented the daily process of downloading reports from the back-office system in the form of Excel files, determining the necessary information in them and transferring it to one of the required summary reports. The launch of tasks for the robot is controlled by sending instructions by e-mail.

As a result, the complexity of the process, which was at least 8 hours a day when performing tasks by a bank employee, decreased after the introduction of the WALL-E robot to 3.5 hours. And if during manual processing the procedure was completed by 12 o’clock in the afternoon, then the robot completes the processing by 9 o’clock in the morning, which allows timely transfer of data to the regulator and internal services of the bank.

“The launch of the“ WALL-E ”robot was the next step of the bank in using the latest technologies to optimize routine processes in the ICD. In the future, we plan to automate repetitive operational processes with the help of robots, such as reconciliations when making credit decisions, processing underwriting applications, etc., ”commented Sergey Karpus, Director of Robotics at the ICD.
