The wave of layoffs in the gaming industry continues. According to the most optimistic estimates, more than 2,100 people were laid off in February:

– Sony Interactive Entertainment reduces about 900 employees. The layoffs will affect Naughty Dog, the developer of The Last of Us, Insomniac, the creator of the Spider Man series of games, and Guerilla Games, the developer of Killzone, Horizon and Death Stranding.

– Electronic Arts reduces about 670 employees.

– ECL Faceit Group, leader in the eSports industry, will fire 15% of employees, which is about 135 people.

– Supermassive Games, developer of Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology series of games, will fire about 90 employees.
