If the heroes of the work were IT specialists
Recently we tried to imagine what would happen if the heroes of the work were IT specialists. It’s a strange fantasy, and the city is not easy either. In short, here is our version.
Backend developer – Rodion Raskolnikov. May representatives of other IT specialties forgive us, but this is where any IT project begins. Projects can fill out briefs as much as they want, designers can draw visualizations, copywriters can write texts for landing pages. But the backender is not yet hits with an ax writes the code, our romance will not begin.
Frontend developer – Razumikhin. Raskolnikov's best friend, simple and always ready to help his comrade. Dostoevsky speaks of Razumikhin this way: no failures ever embarrassed him and no bad circumstances seemed able to weigh him down. An ideal description of any front that daily has to worry not only about the beauty of the code, but also about the convenience of users.
Project-manager is an old money-lender. A person who strictly monitors the deadlines and budgets of the project, for which he is sometimes (often) disliked. And in response to the manager’s phrase “I brought some changes here,” the hand of any developer, willy-nilly, reaches for the ax.
Tester – Porfiry Petrovich. The investigator who is investigating the Raskolnikov case is an intelligent, insightful person and well versed in human psychology. Excellent skills to take the place of a lead tester or QA engineer.
Designer: Sonya Marmeladova. The person who gets the most edits from customers and has to put up with them. What can you do? You have to feed your family.
DevOps – Dunya Raskolnikova. Raskolnikov's sister is the most popular girl in the novel. The student Razumikhin and the nobleman Svidrigailov are in love with her, and the rich lawyer Luzhin is going to marry her. It’s very similar to the enthusiasm with which IT HR people hunt for good devops.
HR – Svidrigailov. He knows everything about everyone, doesn’t tell anyone anything, and in order to get the right specialist, he’s ready to go to extreme measures. He looks calm and balanced, but you should have seen him at corporate events.
CEO – Luzhin. A rich and prudent person who knows exactly what and how to make money. In the nineteenth century it was the legal profession, in the twenty-first – IT.
