We completely forgot about quarters and switched to seasons
For the second year now, we have been working not by quarter, but from holidays to holidays.
And we can’t imagine how it could be any other way.
Let me remind you that the main prerequisite for this is the labor calendar in the Russian Federation. In our calendar there are New Year holidays, May holidays and a pronounced business season – from September 1, when everyone returns from vacation, takes their children to school, and it all ends again with the New Year.
We decided that planning by quarter, where in the middle of the second you will have two weeks in May, and in the middle of the third, the peak of vacations and the beginning of the school season is terribly inconvenient.
As a result, we live in “Seasons” (we thought for a long time what to call such 4-mestres, but couldn’t come up with anything better):
Spring season January-April
Summer season May-August
Autumn season September-December
And now for the second year we have been trying to find the downsides in order to at least somehow explain to ourselves why everyone else in the country doesn’t do the same?
On the eve of the new season, we have updated our Roadmap, which is formed by our users, and have sorted everything out by season, not by quarter, you can see it here:

In general, it seems even clearer.
Share your opinion, are there any disadvantages to this approach? Or would you switch too?
