Top authors include Microsoft, Google and American universities

Analysts from Zeta Alpha, a company developing AI solutions for business, have compiled their latest list of the top 100 most mentioned articles about AI for 2023 and posted it on GitHub. After reading at least part of the materials, you can find out what they say about neural networks at Microsoft, Google, Stanford and Berkeley.

A quick glance at the topics of the articles shows in which direction the intellectual landscape of the industry is unfolding. 83% of publications describe the work of language models (LLM). In fact, the topics of the two most cited articles, with a margin of several thousand mentions:

Fan fact: all three top publications were published by a team of authors from Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

By the way, the characteristic increase in the citation index compared to last year show materials from Carnegie University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of California. All of them are in the top 10 authors of the most cited works.
