Scam on fixed matches in VK. Fraud for 150k rubles

Hello! My name is Dmitry, and in this article I want to tell you how I was fooled out of a large sum of money due to my stupidity. This whole story began with the fact that I was drawn into an adventure with fixed matches, which plunged me into serious financial difficulties. I was successfully working in sales, earning good money, having success, but recently everything was going to hell, and several months in a row were especially difficult – several important deals fell through literally at the finish line, and I found myself not only without a stable income, but also with a decent mountain of debt. In such a situation, when it seemed that everything was collapsing, I began to feverishly look for at least some way to get out of this hole, grabbing at any opportunity that could at least slightly improve the situation.

My search led me to VK communities with part-time jobs and other ways to earn extra money, among them was an advertising post from one group that offered “exclusive” sports betting predictions. (https://vk.com/high__humiditythey can change the link to the group, so I'm leaving a screenshot of the group itself here)

I wasn't particularly into sports, but I was attracted by the fact that the group didn't look like a classic SCAM, but looked lively, and, succumbing to curiosity, I decided to subscribe to it, since I had long been interested in the topic and heard that you can make money on it. Having studied its content and laudatory comments from its participants, I decided to write to the admin to find out how everything was arranged, but I didn't find his contact in the group. But not even a few hours had passed, as the group administrator, Vladimir, wrote to me himself and introduced me to the activity. He greeted me and began to explain in detail what fixed matches are and how they supposedly work. From the first minutes of communication, I realized that Vladimir is a serious person who knows how to convince. His words sounded so confidently that it seemed to me that he really knew what he was talking about. He assured me that his information was the golden key to success. Vladimir confidently said that he has reliable connections in sports circles and knows the results of matches in advance thanks to these connections.

At first I was skeptical – it all sounded too good to be true. It seemed incredible that someone could actually know the outcome of matches in advance and share this information with others. However, Vladimir, sensing my doubts, offered me to test his information in practice without any investment on my part.

This is how my story began, as you have all already guessed, not with the happiest ending.

Testing the “dog” scheme in practice

I agreed to the proposal since it didn’t require anything from me, I was interested in whether Vladimir really gave accurate information.

Vladimir disappeared and it seemed strange. The next day the match started. I remembered about it when it was already over and went to check the score. I was shocked, it was the same as Vladimir said. I couldn't believe that everything went exactly like that. Of course, I understood that it could just be a lucky coincidence, I immediately wrote to him and immediately expressed my doubts

After which he gave arguments regarding the fact that the match was indeed fixed and advised to watch video replays of the match moments. I was shocked by the blatant red card of the goalkeeper who in the 30th minute simply knocks down a player from behind without even looking at the ball and simply loses his team by giving a penalty and leaving the team in the minority, this is a real wake-up call.

As Vladimir predicted, after watching the video of the game I immediately wrote to him and asked how to make my first bet. (And I got hooked)

It turned out to be quite logical, of course, there was a certain price, and for each opportunity to bet on a fixed match you had to pay a decent amount. The price of the issue directly depended on the match and the odds. It could be from 5,000 rubles per match and reached fabulous sums of 50,000-100,000 rubles.

Of course, Vladimir immediately described to me all the advantages and opportunities, not forgetting to briefly mention the possible risks, and that all these investments would pay off immediately.

This answer seemed to explain everything and calmed me down a little. My doubts began to dissipate, and I decided to continue working with him. Vladimir gave the impression that his goal was a long-term partnership where everyone would come out on top. But, as it turned out later, this confidence concealed completely different intentions, which I had no idea about at the time.

The stakes are starting to rise

So, I decided to start with caution – I didn't want to risk a large sum right away, so I chose a more modest option. The first bet was only 10,000 rubles, the cost of the “fixed match” was 5,000 rubles. The match was not one of the most popular – some little-known league in the Balkans, which I had not even heard of before, and the teams were far from top. Vladimir, of course, assured me that this was a “passable” match, with odds of 2.0, and I could practically not worry. Well, I think it's worth trying once.

Once the money was placed, the agonizing wait began. Time dragged on, but when the match finally began, I was glued to the screen, completely immersed in what was happening on the pitch. And to my great surprise and joy, everything actually happened as Vladimir had promised. The final whistle blew, and I won! It felt like a real high – not so much because of the money, but because I realized that maybe I had found a way to fix my financial situation.

After this first success I couldn't stop. Inspired by my first victory, I decided to move on. Over the next two weeks I made several more bets. Vladimir seemed to be urging me to place more bets (well, this is not surprising, since each time I transferred him money for the fixed match itself). First 15,000 rubles on a match with odds of 2.3, then 25,000 rubles at odds of 1.9, and finally I took a risk with 35,000 rubles at odds of 2.5. And what's surprising is that I won each time. (I was lucky for a surprisingly long time)

I was already imagining myself paying off all my debts and finally relaxing, not thinking about money anymore. All I had to do was continue in the same spirit and wait for this stream of luck to lead me to complete financial well-being.

Big bet: the path to disaster

After a few successful bets, I started to feel like a professional bettor. You know that feeling when you think you've got it all figured out and are ready to play big? That's exactly what I thought at that moment. By that time, I had saved up some money and decided to go all in. I asked Vladimir for a match with decent odds. He wrote: “Hi, Dima, I have a great offer for you, and if you want to really make money, now is the time. There is a match with odds of 7, but the price is 140,000.”

I didn't even have time to think about this message properly. 140 thousand rubles is a decent amount of money for me. And on top of that, I needed money for the bet itself. It was almost the entire amount I had earned and even more, and I had to borrow for the bet, getting even deeper into debt. But Vladimir assured me that everything was under control.

I decided to take a risk, thinking that this could be the chance that would change everything. I placed the maximum bet I could borrow – 120 thousand rubles. I transferred the money and began to wait for the day of the match, and with each passing minute I became more and more nervous. I was already thinking about how I would celebrate the victory. But, as you probably already guessed, everything went completely wrong.

The match started, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, I watched every moment, as if it could change anything. Time passed, and nothing that Vladimir promised happened. No goals, no wonderful moments that I was hoping for. The game ended, and I suddenly realized that I had lost everything to the last penny.

Fixed Matches: Result

I've been blocked

I've been blocked

In a panic, I immediately tried to write to Vladimir, but he had already blocked me. Neither pointless attempts to write to him from other accounts, nor calls, nor complaints to the VKontakte administration brought me any sense. Everything became clear: I was deceived, and I was left not only without money, but also with a heavy feeling that I had lost everything.

So I lost about 150,000 rubles and learned an important lesson. And all my winnings and the trial match turned out to be just coincidences. It would seem that if I hadn't passed his first trial “fixed match” I would have kept my money. He would have blocked me back then and would have looked for his next victim further.
