How to search for a product on all marketplaces at once?
You decide to update your smartphone or buy food for a dog / cat or diapers for a child, take out your phone and go: look for it on Ozon, then open the WildBerries app, then in Yandex Market, then in SberMegaMarket, then on a couple more sites, then you already forgot where you need it the product was cheaper and went around again, bought it, and then it turned out that it was today that the smartphone you needed was cheaper in DNS, and diapers were on sale in Detsky Mir, but you forgot to look there.
Common situation? There are many sites and each time the right product can be cheaper at all on the one where it was cheaper yesterday. And to search for everyone takes a lot of time and is rather annoying.
That’s what we’re tired of!
And we made an application Cheaperwhich searches for the right product at once on all marketplaces and in large federal online stores, and in real time, taking into account your city, all discounts, etc.
Comfortable? Yes! Saves a lot of time and nerves, and most importantly money!
How did we come to this? At all, our company For more than 20 years he has been developing websites, mobile applications and online advertising. So historically there was a lot of experience in this topic. Since 2020, we have begun to actively help our clients access marketplaces and are currently the official technology partner of Yandex Market and Ozon. For a couple of years, we studied the entire cuisine on marketplaces, it so happened that two examinations coincided, and we made this application.
How does the application work?
At the start, select a city, enter what you are looking for in the search bar, you can select sites for search, start the search, wait for some time and get the availability and the current price in real time on all sites, select the offer you need, go and buy.

Now about 30 sites with good Internet are scanned in about 3-4 minutes.
Search relevance
The algorithm of the application is as follows. We show up to five of the most relevant products with the best price according to the platform where the search takes place. We do not filter or distort search results in any way. In the application, you will see exactly the results that you get when you search on your own on the corresponding site. Unfortunately, the site may not have the product you need, and in this case, the sites either show the answer that nothing was found, or start slipping products with low relevance and there is a feeling that the products do not match the request.
Why is that? We chose to do this deliberately for two reasons.
For quite a long time they tried to make the issue more relevant. We used many algorithms from the weighted average price to neural networks (including the hype ChatGPT), but, unfortunately, there were always product categories or queries in which the accuracy of the match left much to be desired: either the really best offer was cut off, or the irrelevant one still got into the search results product.
Any influence on search results will sooner or later lead to accusations of affiliation, prioritization of results, etc. And we fundamentally want to work as an independent service.
If you have ideas that can filter the results with reasonable effort to achieve 99% relevance for all possible product categories and search queries, we will be happy to talk to you.
A little about plans
I have an idea how to speed up the search even without the direct API of the site, we will deal with it in the near future. But the API is, of course, faster and more stable in operation.
We also plan to show the size of the cashback for all sites where it is available and promotional codes from the site. Now we have tested it on SberMegaMarket, we will gradually expand it to other sites. An API would also be useful for this, but for now we do without it.
At the request of users, we will add some more sites from the beauty industry, construction (DIY), pet products and, possibly, Avito.
Why am I writing this article?
Firstly, it’s time to get out of the twilight and partly the publication is needed to tell potential users about us.
The second task is to get in touch with the sites in order to get direct access to people who can help us interact with the sites not through parsing, but through the API.
