FALDOR: Roundup!

Hello!
We haven't seen each other for a long time, so I decided to present some information about the innovations of my game.

Let me briefly remind you that Faldor is my game in the setting of a medieval fantasy, RPG genre and in 2D style, telling about various adventures in a big world (albeit, which has yet to be created…)

The article will not be long, so I will try to keep everything short but informative.

Main menu

Let me start with the fact that over the last month I decided to work on the visual component (Interface), including the Main Menu. Yes, I will also polish the gameplay and mechanics, and this is also necessary, and I understand that the interface can be done later, but desires, like a sparrow, fly out and are very difficult to catch.
So…

For me, the important question was how exactly the wrapper for the game itself would look, and it was decided to try to implement my ideas slowly, but as persistently as possible. Fortunately, they were there at all.

You can see a fragment with the main menu on the cover of the article and in the top video. In general, this entire one large element was implemented by me in a little more than a month, to my surprise.

The main thing I would like to point out is the settings menu. It was precisely this mechanic that I did for myself in the first place, and in the first days there was almost everything in the menu – changing the language, volume slider, creating different types of sounds and music, changing the resolution, and so on and so forth.

In general, I have already solved and created one problem for the game) But, of course, it’s up to you to judge the quality of the solution)

Item info windows.

The next step in changing the interface attributes was the need for me to change (and add something new) the information windows of the items.

In particular, the changes affected almost everything. That is, literally, all the windows were written from scratch. In addition, their visuals and mechanics were rethought, some new elements were added, and everything like that. I won’t go into too much detail, I’ll just show you the result:

Nevertheless, I will also show this:

It would be interesting to read your assessment)
Although I know that it is difficult to evaluate anything from, specifically, this article, since there is only so much here.

And yes, in general, that’s all I’ve been doing lately. Of course, there were other improvements – but now I’m stuck in ideas about visuals and other such dreary topics. Although I also made credits for the game.

Well, something like this ?

Thanks for reading! If you are interested in following the project, I will be glad to see you among my subscribers, but I will not force you.

❤️
See you soon (and there will obviously be more news)!
