Creation of a catalog in GISP for Russian products and registration of the enterprise

In the previous article “How to enter products from Russian manufacturers into the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade?» we have figured out how to determine OKPD 2 and HS codes and fulfill the requirements of PP No. 719 or the Agreement.

In this article I will tell you how to register an enterprise in the GISP, and how to create your own product catalog using examples. We will correctly designate each name and draw up the technical characteristics of the products.

All examples given are indicative only. You need to fill out the sections in accordance with the technical and functional characteristics of your product.

GISP (state industrial information system) is a state register of industrial products produced on the territory of the Russian Federation.

1. Register the enterprise with the State Property Management System.

To register with the GISP, you need to fill out the “Enterprise Information” plate in accordance with your data. Example on light industry products:

Example of filling out the catalog “Information about the enterprise” 1

The final registration of the enterprise and confirmation of the specified data is supported by the electronic digital signature (EDS) of the enterprise.

2. Creation of a product catalog in GISP.

Now let's start designing the catalog of the claimed products. What is it for?

Firstly, without placing your products in the catalog, you will not be able to submit an application to have your products recognized as Russian and placed in the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Secondly, the GISP platform serves as free advertising for your products.

  1. Registration of product names.

It is very important to label your products correctly. To do this, you should adhere to the following rules:

– products must have a trade name. In no case is it allowed to combine several types or species in one name. For example,

Blast freezing cabinets types VKS-01, VKS-02, VKS-03, VKS-04

It’s absolutely not possible to formalize it this way.

Blast freezing cabinet type VKS-01

This design is correct

Blast freezing cabinet type VKS-02

Blast freezing cabinet type VKS-03

Blast freezing cabinet type VKS-04

It would be incorrect to try to combine several names in one position:

Duvet covers, pillowcases, sheets, cotton brand “SOLNYSHKO”

It’s absolutely not possible to formalize it this way.

Set of cotton bed linen brand “SOLNYSHKO”: duvet cover, pillowcase, sheet

This design is correct

If you need to declare the indicated names separately, then you can additionally place each name as an independent product:

Cotton duvet cover brand “SOLNYSHKO”

This design is correct

Cotton pillowcase brand “SUN”

Cotton sheet brand “SOLNYSHKO”

– the name of the product must correspond to the technological documents on the basis of which your application is drawn up (technological conditions (TU), technological description (TO), technological specification (TOR), GOST, etc.).

For example, in the technological conditions the name “Low-voltage complete device type VO-01” is indicated. And you decided, on the basis of this specification, to announce the newly developed product “Low-voltage complete device type VO-02”. These manipulations are not allowed.

– the name of the product must correspond to the name specified in the certificate of conformity or declaration of conformity.

This violation is especially committed by manufacturers in certificates or declarations of conformity, of which several product names are indicated. To slip through “on the sly” in the future is fraught with a refusal of a positive decision on the entire application.

  1. Placement of product photographs.

No matter how trivial it may sound, photography is the face of your product. The photograph must be taken with high quality and presentable. For example, if it is a robe, it should be ironed and preferably demonstrated on the model. The photograph should show the entire product, not just part of it.

The GISP system accepts photographs in various formats, such as JPEG and JPG.

  1. Description of products.

The first section of the catalog provides a description of the products:

Filling example:

This screenshot shows an example of a simple product. However, if your products have any distinctive characteristics (frost resistance, wear resistance) or have voltage ranges, or are intended for a certain category of consumers, etc. All this must be indicated in the description. However, the description must strictly comply with the technological documentation for your product. Otherwise, legal claims from your competitors cannot be ruled out.

  1. Specifications.

In the “Technical Specifications” section there are two subsections “main characteristics” and “additional characteristics”. They are filled out in accordance with the specifics of your product.

For example, for the above light industry products, the main characteristics are filled in as follows:

“Additional characteristics for light industry include, for example, size range, fabric characteristics, filler (insulation) composition, etc. Electrical products may contain parameters such as:

– Climatic performance;

– Degree of protection;

– Mechanical performance group;

– Rated alternating current;

– Rated frequency;

– Rated phase-to-phase AC voltage;

– Rated operating DC voltage.

  1. Information about standardization.

Here you indicate your installed codes and links to technological documents. Example on light products:

It is worth considering the fact that the indicators of this section (except for the type of product) and the name of the product itself will be reflected in your application. Accordingly, if errors are made, they will also be reflected in the application.

The “Product Specifications” section is not completed.

The section “Information on the origin of products” will reflect information about the placement of your products in the register as Russian products.

Example on light industry products:

All information on products is also signed with an electronic digital signature (EDS) of the enterprise.

Conclusion: when filling out the GISP catalog, it is necessary to take into account the technological characteristics of the product and its functionality. Making mistakes or incompletely specifying basic and additional characteristics may lead to refusal to moderate the product and its further placement.

Next, you need to prepare a package of documents for the register of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which confirm the production of your products on the territory of the Russian Federation, more about this in the next article.
