Zavtra updates: minimalistic backpack and wallet for the urban jungle

Madrobots is updating: we are releasing the second version of the minimalistic Zavtra backpack for 13-inch laptops. Summer, heat, I don’t want to carry a lot of unnecessary things with me. Our backpack comes to the rescue. In it you can carry the necessary things: a work car, charger, power bank, smartphone, wallet – and do it in style.

The Zavtra series is Madrobots’ own development, which is more than five years old. Limited lots, production in Russia, dozens of them. The series is distinguished by minimalism. The most important thing: with these accessories you will not be able to take anything extra, which is only a plus in the heat.

The backpack was first released in 2016, and now it has been updated, changing the fittings and fastening of the straps. It has become noticeably stronger.

Backpack – not the only novelty in the summer of 2021. Recently, the Zavtra collection was replenished with leather purse for documents and bank cards. Let’s take a quick look at it and then move on to the backpack.

Trying the wallet

The purse is as minimalistic as the backpack. There are slots for two passports at once: Russian and foreign. You can also put 2-4 bank cards, plastic SNILS, documents for the car, a wad of cash and a photo of your beloved dog.

The purse has a velvety surface and is pleasant to hold in your hands. This is real leather with even stitching. Everything is done thoroughly and firmly, the accessory does not try to crumble when you open and close it.

Let’s open the cards right away, we conceived this purse as a gift to loved ones or to ourselves, beloved, therefore in our online store such accessories are sold in neat boxes made of craft cardboard. Do not forget: if you are going to give such a thing, do not give an empty one.

But back to the backpack.

Trying a backpack

The wallet fits perfectly into the side pocket of the backpack. The pocket seems shallow from the outside, but in fact it is quite voluminous, taking up half of the front panel. You can put documents, wallet and keys there.

There is a transport card pocket on the left front shoulder strap. Life hack: you can not get the card, but instead lean the strap against the validator in the metro or bus. If growth allows, of course.

There are no other pockets outside. The main compartment is zipped under the shoulder straps, so the backpack is almost impossible to open while hanging from the wearer’s back. If you forget to close the zipper, the straps will still prevent you from pulling out anything of value. Plus – nothing falls out of the backpack.

The backpack is partly made of genuine leather and partly of a fabric called “cationic”. Cationic is such a dense polyester fabric with a weave like a mat. It is non-marking and very dense, so it can be easily cleaned of dirt. But it is not waterproof, so with this backpack it is better not to get caught in the pouring rain and pouring coffee in the office. Individual drops dry quickly, that is, sprinklers are not terrible.

The backpack is available in two colors: brown-gray and black-gray. The only difference is the leather, fabric and lining are identical.

The back and shoulder straps of the backpack are covered with a special breathable mesh lining. In the Moscow heat, this is invaluable – especially when you have to travel for hours from one end of the city to the other. Checked: after a day of walking in the sun, the documents inside were completely intact, and my back did not sweat.

There is a laptop compartment on the back of the backpack. It is ideal for MacBook Retina 13 ″, MacBook Air 13 ″ and MacBook Pro 13 ″. Small laptops from other manufacturers also fit quite comfortably, especially since the compartment is reinforced on the back side.

A stack of documents fits in too, and feels good next to a 10-inch tablet in a case.

On the opposite side of the compartment there are three pockets in a row. On the far right – for a smartphone, it fits a device with a 6.47 “screen. Lovers of huge handhelds, if they are still in the wild, will have to use a pocket next door for a power bank or diary. In the middle is a narrow pen holder.

The backpack is objectively very small. Between its two halves there is a little space, 5 liters. Actually, it is designed to carry a laptop, charger, documents and a smartphone in it. It is not without reason called “minimalistic”: you cannot put more than the required minimum into it. But even something important in the mountain of trash will not get lost. The backpack has a rigid back, so it is convenient to carry in it not only laptops and tablets, but also documents.
