Why does the company produce such monstrous systems? It claims to be a provider of solutions for professional film and television studios, visual effects, virtual and augmented reality, scientific research, artificial intelligence and computer-aided design (CAD/CAE/CAM) . Well, in these industries really productive equipment is required.

Okay, what about 7 displays? This is true?

Yes, the Aurora 7 did ship (perhaps still does) with 7 screens. The system is based on the AMD Ryzen 9 3950x processor. This is a 16-core chip with support for 32 threads, a frequency from base 3.5 GHz to peak 4.7 GHz and 14 MB of cache in the third level. TDP 105W. The processor is not new – AMD introduced it back in the fall of 2019. It is produced according to the seven-nanometer process technology of the manufacturer TSMC.

If you do not like AMD, then there is no problem, there is also an Intel-based platform. This is the Core i9-10900k processor, which was released a few months after the Ryzen 9 – in the second quarter of 2020. It has 10 cores at once, which operate at a frequency of 3.7 to 5.3 GHz and support 20 threads. The processor is made according to the 14 nm process technology, its TDP is slightly higher than that of AMD – 135 W instead of 105 W.

But with graphic adapters, things are worse – the user cannot select them. The developers install the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, and the GeForce 1060 was originally announced.

The manufacturer reports support for 128 GB of DDR4-2993 RAM. This amount is available only for a platform with a processor from Intel. But buyers of the AMD-based platform are limited to 64 GB of RAM.

As for drives, the laptop is equipped with two SATA drives and two M2 drives. M2 are represented by Samsung 970 EVO Plus with capacities up to 2 TB. In addition, the developers announced the transition to the 980 series SSDs after these drives become available. SSD capacities up to 2 TB are supported for each, so you can get up to 8 TB of storage in total.

You need a good battery to keep a monstrously voracious device running. The system has two of them at once, and the battery life of the system is 2 hours and 20 minutes.
