We invite you to summer-autumn lectures on the gaming industry and IT at the Higher School of Business

Hello everyone! In August and September, we, at the Higher School of Business HSE, will host a series of free lectures and master classes on the gaming industry and IT. I invite everyone to join, under the cut are links to details on each event and registration. Although attendance is free, but by appointment.

August 30: Game Design as an Art Form

Place and time: in person at 19-00 in the ZIL Cultural Center (Vostochnaya street, 4k1) within the framework of the project “University open to the city”.

Speaker: Konstantin Sakhnov, producer and founder of Vengeance Games, Head of Game Design Red Rift, over 15 years in the gaming industry.

Issues under consideration:

  • Gaming as an art form;

  • Narration, visuals and sound in games;

  • Examples of video games as art;

  • Current trends in the gaming industry.

August 1: Formation of exchange rates in modern realities and options for a new global financial system

Speakers: Alexey Bacherov (asset manager of Abtrust, an investor with more than 20 years of experience) and Oleg Abelev (PhD, head of the analytical department of Rikon-Trust Investment Company).

Issues under consideration:

August 6: Creating games at the intersection of mathematics and creativity

Speaker: Vladimir Agarev, creative director of Jay-Joy, over 10 years in the gaming industry.

The issues under consideration:

August 13: Game Development with Glowing Eyes: Cases, Figures, and Advice

  • Where to look for a team with enthusiasm;

  • Tips on what to do and what not to do when you start developing your own game;

  • Current market situation, trends and prospects for a budding game developer.
