Voltega filament lamps with high color rendering index

Voltega True color LED lamps have appeared on sale, with CRI> 97 indicated. I bought two of these bulbs and measured their parameters.

In total, four models of Voltega True color lamps have been released, all of which have a power of 7 W and a luminous flux of 540 lm: “pear” E27 (215 rubles) and “candle” E14 (195 rubles) with two color temperature options 2800K and 4000K. I bought and tested warm bulbs.

Let’s start with the fun part – color and color rendering parameters.

The lamps have really excellent color rendering – CRI (Ra) above 95. My results were slightly lower than the promised 97, but this may be due to the error of the spectrometer. The transmission index of pink color R9 for both lamps is very high – 97-98.

There is practically no light ripple, the color temperature is close to the declared one.

The measured power of the “pear” was 6.29 W, that of the “candle” – 6.43 W.

The measured luminous flux of 599 lm and 558 lm, respectively, is even slightly higher than stated.

Lamps are capable of replacing 60-watt incandescent lamps (for those who argue that a 60-watt lamp should give 710 lumens, let me remind you that an ordinary light bulb at 220 volts gives an average of 530 lm).

As with most filament lamps, these lamps use linear drivers. The brightness of the “pear” drops by 5% when the voltage drops from 230 to 220V, the brightness of the “candle” drops by 5% when the voltage drops from 230 to 224 V. If the voltage in your network is low, these bulbs (like all others with linear drivers ) should not be used.

With switches that have an indicator, the lamps work correctly (they do not light up or flash when the switch is off).

The warranty period for these lamps is 3 years.

I bought these bulbs in the store Your House, and now I found that they are on Ozone and Wildberries (pear 2800K, pear 4000K, candle 2800K, candle 4000K).

Apparently, so far these are the only filament lamps with CRI (Ra)> 90 on our market.

Let me remind you that the ideal color rendering CRI (Ra)> 99 for the sun and incandescent lamps. It is believed that for comfortable domestic lighting CRI (Ra) should be higher than 80, but still many cheap light bulbs have a color rendering index of about 70. Lamps with CRI (Ra)> 95 make the perception of colors as accurate as possible, with a high R9 index the color of human skin will be the most natural.

Lamps with CRI (Ra)> 95 are ideal for both domestic lighting and beauty salons and photo studios.

I am glad that in our market, saturated with light bulbs made according to the principle “the main thing is low price, and everything else does not matter”, lamps with high quality of light began to appear, and even an honest indication of the parameters. Surprisingly, the price for them is almost the same as for conventional lamps with CRI 80.
