Toshiba T-1000

The T-1000 has no built-in hard drive, so MS-DOS is loaded from a ROM chip that is mounted in the DIP panel, which means it is upgradeable.
But, according to the information I know, there was no upgrade. But on Microsoft's FTP there is an interesting document, dated 2000, telling about the launch of newer versions of MS-DOS.
The lack of a hard drive has its advantages – at that time, this model worked for 5 hours on battery power.

Needless to say, the machine was just right for 1987. To my great regret, I couldn't get my copy up and running – the double-sided board doesn't allow access to the components.
