Tired of chasing likes and awards, so I created a cringe design contest

Having visited dribble and behance once again, I came across the fact that all the works have become soulless and identical. The pursuit of awards has generated a homogeneous mass of concepts due to which trends have swung towards design clones, and this can only drive one into melancholy.

All this prompted me to act, so to speak, to dilute the gray everyday life with something fresh and original. That's how the idea was born to make a competition where people would have fun doing what they love — Cringe Design Fest or Cringathon.

Here you will face the most difficult task for any designer – to make a bad design, on purpose.

We have a huge number of resources to show our skills and get recognition from the community. But aren't you tired of this race for views, likes and awards?

What about fun and enjoyment from the process?
I invite you to dive headfirst into this meme world and become a part of it.

Over the course of 9 days, we will compete for the title of the most cringe-worthy design in 3 directions:

  1. UX – Remember the memes about the most inconvenient date of birth selectors, phone number selection, etc.? Your task is to outdo the devil himself and create the most complex and inconvenient functionality that the world has ever seen!

  2. UI – Oh, these sites of the 2000s, a complete collective farm. Although…

  3. Product Idea – Usually, products are aimed at improving people's lives, let's fix that. You have to come up with the most harmful product for a person that he could use every day.
