Three Decades of DOOM – a documentary project about the DOOM community

Three Decades of DOOM is an amateur documentary series of videos about the DOOM community in different periods of time. Most YouTube videos focus on the franchise and its developers, but don't highlight the contributions made by fans. This project fills this gap.

The first episode describes significant events from 1994 to 1996. — Why is Aliens-TC still a frequently mentioned project? What impact has Dwango had on gaming and multiplayer in particular? How did players organize team matches using only Deathmatch by default? Forgotten figures, their cards and events in Three Decades of DOOM!

As I explore the early days of the community, I continue to hunt for additional vhs recordings from various championships and simple home gatherings playing DOOM. Regardless of the countries and mainly from the 90s.
From what is on hand:

-Deathmatch 95' as part of Judgment Day with the support of Microsoft (Redmond, USA) October 30, 1995
-Unknown DOOM II Tournament, USA, 1996
-Heure Cup (St. Petersburg) qualifying – September 22, 1996 and final meeting – November 9, 1996.
-Tournament in Yekaterinburg (semi-final and final) 1997
-Tournament in Tula, 1997.
-DOOM II Championship in Pskov, April 5-6, 1997.
-Championship in Rybinsk, 2000.

According to information from the archives of RU.GAME.DOOM, the second DOOM tournament in Moscow, which took place as part of the Anigraph-95 festival (May 24-27, 1995), was shown in the Computer Hall program on TV. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find this issue? Approximately end of May – beginning of June 1995. Simply put, there is nothing at all from Moscow. The same applies to neighboring countries.

It has not yet been possible to get at least some video from the party at The Limelight club on the occasion of the release of DOOM II (New York, October 10, 1994), where GT Interactive invested 2 million dollars.

The author mistakenly indicated 1995 in the description, but on that LAN someone is playing Carmageddon. We all know when it came out.
