This time 800 km on a single speed bike
While there is health to plough in properly, I wound up. This time the post is again about the bike, but not scientific preprint.
I got into shape, prepared my bike for a long trip and set off from the Central Federal District towards Kazakhstan. I had foreseen many things, but not the prolonged rains that destroyed my fighting spirit.
There was a lot of social life along the way from:
I work and work. And you drink it all away, bitch!

before meeting a whole group of cyclists…
2/3 of the way it was raining, unpleasant, the chain started to rustle. I probably lubricated it every 100 km. Setting up camp in a damp forest with a tent was quite an adventure, especially where bears also run out onto the asphalt (Mordovia/Ulyansk region).
As a result, after another heavy rain and studying the weather forecast, I was forced to curtail my physical training ~ at the 800 km mark until better times.
Expectation/reality
Vyksa, a city lost among forests and lakes, just like the Michigan wilderness, and there are also very, very beautiful girls, a high gene pool.
In Diveevo, a place of legend for the biased, in this settlement there was a lot of garbage, all the bins were overflowing on the embankment, the wind picked up “candy wrappers” and everything flew into a kind of river, ugh. Lots of gypsies, beggars, as if they occupied the center. Right behind the village there is a strong stench, like they are producing fertilizer or something?
Bad weather that is impossible to cope with and increased bear activity, I could not foresee this.
I got rid of 4 ticks from the tent, I was lucky, they were barely active in the dampness (unexpected, field experience)they clung to my clothes while I was going to examine a huge wasp nest, I brought them into the tent, but they couldn’t/didn’t have time to attach themselves, they were eliminated.
I went to one incredibly strange village, where it was just a freak show happened/psychedelicyou can’t write about this here, it will be deleted.
I rode about 100 km a day, taking into account all the circumstances, the bike was reliable, nothing rotted. A few photos while it was still hot:
