The IT track “The Power of Thought” from “Gorky Tech” was held as part of the Volga Federal District Youth Forum “Meteor 2024”

On July 4-9, 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod Region hosted the Volga Federal District Youth Forum “Meteor 2024” of the Rosmolodezh.Events platform. As part of the forum, Gorky Tech organized its educational track “The Power of Thought” for IT and Digital specialists.

In total, the educational program of Meteor included seven tracks. In addition to presentations on IT, speakers shared their experience of working in the creative industries, culture and youth policy, media and volunteering.

The speakers of the “Power of Thought” track told the forum participants about how subtly and effectively culture and IT are intertwined, how a unique product is created for new forms of dissemination of cultural content. The track participants learned about the latest trends in the world of technology, acquired useful contacts among the management of leading IT companies and immersed themselves in a real IT coworking, where they jointly created their own prototypes of IT products based on real cases of IT companies. They also learned to promote their developments and explored the possibilities and prospects of the digital industry.

“We approached the selection of speakers and keynote speakers thoroughly, which is why we were confident in the success of our track. “The Power of Thought” was aimed at those who are studying in an IT specialty, have experience in digital projects or want to dive into the depths of programming and become a programmer. Those who have not yet made a final choice in favor of IT, but feel potential in themselves, also took part in the track. For example, digital specialists, marketers, copywriters or designers,” added the director of ANO Gorky Tech Evgeny Fedoseyev.

Following the defense of the projects that the guys worked on for all three days, 22 ready-made IT solutions were presented (one from each team). These solutions impressed the judges with their creative approach. The teams solved cases from large companies, including Head Hunter, Sber, Pari NN and others.

As a result, 7 winning teams were awarded, whose projects aroused particular interest among the jury.

The IT track “The Power of Thought” became truly soulful. Some of its participants stayed until late at night, working on cases, and the forum organizers supported them and consulted them throughout the process.

And that's not all! Several keyholders expressed a desire to invite forum participants for internships in their companies. They will continue to keep in touch, which opens up new prospects for young talents.

In addition to the educational part, the participants of the Meteor forum were treated to a cultural and leisure program, which included exhibitions, festivals, tournaments, sporting events, and more.

The organizers of the Meteor forum are the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Vysota Youth Center. Applications for participation in Meteor were accepted from all interested persons from the Volga Federal District aged 14 to 35 years.
