Tetris. Well, it would seem that you can do something new here? There was already a three-dimensional tetris, and four-dimensional tetris…

Made Tetris, which every time slips you the most unnecessary figure. Cool at first, and then infuriating. PASSING !!!

Beware, this Tetris evokes negative feelings and can ruin your day. Or maybe it will push you into philosophical reflections on what luck is in life and whether it is worth waiting for it or you have to constantly fight.

For the second day I have been thinking how such a simple mechanic forced us to reflash the usual mental strategies in the game and in the broader context of decision making. Previously, it was possible to “postpone” the situation until later, when a more favorable figure appears, but now you realize that there is “someone” behind the scenes who will never allow a favorable figure to appear. The only way to succeed in any way is to make surebets, so that success cannot fail to happen.

In this tetris, there is not even “gravity”, that is, there is no pressure of time, but it will not help you much.

The hate generation algorithm is simple:

“Check all possible locations of all possible shapes, for each shape see the best scenario, from these best scenarios choose the worst one and generate this shape.”

In this game Hatetris there are no accidents, the algorithm is deterministic, so there is a challenge to come up with a better strategy. Author’s solution – 5 lines. Mine, for 10 minutes of play – 4 lines.

The task for programmers is to come up with their own, more optimal algorithm that maximizes the “hatred in Tetris”, that is, slips you the most uncomfortable figure that minimizes the player’s chance to fill in the line.
