St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” and State Corporation “Rosatom” signed a bilateral cooperation agreement

Within the framework of the international forum “ATOMEXPO” in the city of Sochi, signed bilateral agreement on cooperation in the educational and scientific fields between the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI” (SPbGETU “LETI”) and the State Corporation (SC) “Rosatom”.

The document was signed by Rector of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” Viktor Sheludko and General Director of State Corporation “Rosatom” Alexei Likhachev. Under this agreement, both parties intend to develop research and development activities in the development of new materials, technologies and components for electronics, photonics and radio photonics, digital twins of powerful heating electrotechnological complexes, intelligent process control systems, power converter technology and other promising solutions for the Russian atom .

St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” and State Corporation “Rosatom” are going to engage in joint training of Russian and foreign specialists in basic higher education programs, as well as to develop and implement joint programs for advanced training and retraining of personnel.

Cooperation began as early as within the framework of the project “International cooperation in the field of nuclear education”, where SC “Rosatom” decided to develop, together with St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”, an educational program in the field of a new generation of electronic components with Russian and foreign partners program customer.

The program provides for the creation of an educational infrastructure for joint training of personnel in the interests of the State Corporation and partner countries in the field of silicon electronics, photonics and radio photonics, new nanoheterostructural electronics, neuromorphic platforms and infocognitive technologies for multi-agent systems of hybrid intelligence and others.
