So what's wrong with zoomers?

Lately I often come across criticism of an entire GENERATION! Memes are made and articles are written on this topic. I want to express my opinion on such content as a representative of zoomers.

Zoomers don't recognize authorities

Meanwhile, their majesties, the authorities that zoomers encounter every day:

School teacher zoomer – Antonina Ivanovna, who can't figure out how to send a picture on WhatsApp and records 5 minutes of voice recording in which someone moans, chomps and washes dishes instead of spending 30 minutes and formatting her homework in Noushen or any other editor, adding formatting and making it readable.

Teacher at the University – Dmitry Georgievich has never worked in his specialty for a single day, and therefore can only make comments about the fact that the docx document is not formatted according to GOST.

Supervisor zoomer – Igor Petrovich. Under his sensitive guidance, you need to call a colleague from another department and ask him to close an Excel document, because you can't edit documents in parallel.

Zoomers are sissies

If a person is extremely proud of his ability to make a cake out of cookies and butter, warm beer between his thighs, run away from the punks and other attributes of going through the 90s, then he considers himself many times more authoritative than those who did not do such things. Why after this it is necessary to salute every idiotic order of such a person without analysis and criticism is not reported.

Zoomers want a lot of money without experience and often change jobs

Without losing the meaning, this can be reformulated approximately like this: give us a year of your life and then, if we want to tell you that you are doing a good job, you will get a promotion. And with the difference, you can buy yourself headphones and jeans. It goes without saying that some management styles, for example, anti-crisis and emergency management, which are so popular in our area, imply regular explanations to employees why exactly they are doing poorly and what exactly they need to improve in themselves in order to get a promotion. This leads to a situation where it is much more profitable to change jobs than to try to please the manager.

Zoomers close their laptops and leave in broad daylight

The very mention of this problem from the lips of any manager screams about how disgusting the work his employees have to do. And the only reason why older workers do not do this is the fear of losing their jobs and the burden of responsibility in the form of a family, mortgage or loans, which zoomers do not have. So the solution here is either to look for candidates who are up to their ears in debt, or to google what task trackers and databases are and automate the routine. If your acts, invoices and other papers are generated by computers, then the approval queue will be reduced. And that means you can disband 2/3 of the paper-flipping departments. By the way, this also applies to the comrades from IT, but they have their own routine, you already know everything.

It is foolish to think that a certain generation requires a special approach. Routine and disorganization have an equally negative effect on zoomers, boomers, and even millennials. In addition to meeting KPIs, managers are also responsible for the effective use of their subordinates. If a subordinate regularly has to overcome the same difficulties, this is the manager's problem, not the subordinate's. What have you done to make it convenient for your employees to work?
