Parallels Launches Parallels Desktop for Chromebook Enterprise

The Parallels team introduced Parallels Desktop for Chromebook Enterprise, which lets you run Windows directly on corporate Chromebooks.

Increased productivity and full integration. Shared clipboard. Transfer texts and images between Windows and Chrome OS in any direction: from Windows to Chrome OS and vice versa.

General user profile. Windows custom folders (Desktop, Documents, and Downloads) are redirected to the Windows files section of Chrome OS so that Chrome OS applications can access the corresponding files without making copies. It also allows Chrome OS to access files in these folders even when Windows is not running.

A Chromebook user simply clicks the Parallels Desktop icon to install and activate Parallels Desktop, and then download an IT-provided, ready-to-run Windows image. The SHA256 checksum will ensure that the download is correct. And CPU and RAM resources will be automatically allocated based on the current performance of the Chromebook.

Windows OS management. Administrators can provision a Windows image with both Chromebook users and IT in mind. Full Windows OS supports domain connections, Group Policy and
