OpenAI's GPT-4o mini goes live today

Apparently, the early release of the planned news item happened by chance. CNBC. The news also appeared on Reuters.

OpenAI called the new release “the smartest, most cost-effective small model available today.” According to the leak, it will be 2.5 times cheaper than the already inexpensive latest model ChatGPT-3.5, and will likely be its primary replacement. The model is also planned to integrate image, video, and audio processing.

The mini AI model is a simplified version of GPT-4o, OpenAI's fastest and most powerful model to date, which the company launched in May during a livestream with executives.

According to a press release, GPT-4o mini will be available on Thursday for free ChatGPT users, as well as ChatGPT Plus and Team subscribers, and will be available to ChatGPT Enterprise users next week, the company said in a press release.

Because I'm sawing the service VseGPT for access to different networks (GPT-4o, Sonnet 3.5, etc.) via OpenAI API and via web chat, then, of course, I will try to connect the model as soon as possible, as soon as it becomes available.

This article will be updated as more details become available. At the time of publication, the model with the identifier gpt-4o-mini was not yet available in OpenAI.
