New Saturday and another visit to the flea market – now without quarantine restrictions and with a bunch of interesting things

I was met by a robot that is shown in the announcement photo. And then, right away, I came across a Honeywell Dolphin 70e Black communicator. As it turned out, this is a corporate device that was created for company employees who needed to collect data from retail outlets while being mobile. There is a cellular communication module, a barcode scanner, wireless communication modules and even, as stated here on this page, pager. Gorgeous!

Moreover, the device can be bathed in water – and nothing will happen to it. For those days, this was really an achievement. Protection level – IP67. The communicator worked on a full charge for about 12 hours.

Then came such a rare Nokia and a couple of cell phones nearby. There was such a portable electronic game with a built-in calculator nearby. The miracle of technology is called Pro 200.

A little farther away, a smart communker from Qtek was discovered. This is the Qtek 9000 model, for which at one time I was ready to give both kidneys and also my right hand. I had the S100 in an aluminum case and it was just gorgeous.

Well, this device stood head and shoulders above the S100, but its price was very big. Here are the specifications of the device:

  • Screen: TFT, 65536 colors, 640×480
  • Touch display: +
  • Polyphony: +
  • Operating system: Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition
  • Processor: Intel XScale PXA270 520 MHz
  • RAM / ROM: 64 MB / 128 MB
  • Expansion slots: SD (Secure Digital); SDC (Secure Digital Compatible); MMC (MultiMedia Card); SDIO support
  • Bluetooth: +
  • IrDA: +
  • WiFi: 802.11b
  • GSM: 900/1800/1900
  • GPRS: +
  • Additionally: support for UMTS – the third generation (3G) mobile communication standard, built on the basis of WCDMA technology (data transfer rate – 2 Mbit / s); mini-USB

I bought this communicator – the seller asked for 15 euros, but I knocked the price down to 5 euros. The thing is, as it turns out, the device doesn’t have a battery. A little later I will buy a battery and try to “start” it. It is likely that it will work – it looks good, there are no signs of flooding, perhaps even mobile Internet will be able to be connected. Let’s see, in any case, I’ll post an overview of this miracle of technological thought.

Then came laptops – old and not very old. Well, how would some of them still serve as a typewriter and surfing tool (without vidyashe, of course).

Then the watch came across. By the way, maybe someone understands them? The question is – is there something in this random heap that deserves attention, or is the whole heap rubbish?

A few more watches, including some kind of Chinese smartwatch.

Immediately after the clock, I saw something that looked like an iPod in an unsightly plastic package. And for sure – it turned out to be a 7th generation iPod with 160GB of storage. Looking ahead – I bought it for 15 euros, and it was in working order. As far as I could understand why this device ended up at the flea market – it was apparently put in this plastic package from under the iPhone 4S case, and apparently forgotten, and then either thrown away or taken to Punto limpio, where did the gadget come from? and got to a flea market.

And a little later I got an iPod Shuffle – I bought it for 4 euros with a docking station. It seems to be charging, but there was no time for tests.

Immediately after the iPod I saw electronic chess. Unfortunately, parts of the figures are missing. This gaming computer was released in 1996, and at one time enjoyed considerable popularity. Here is its description and additional photos

On eBay, a set in working order costs about 50 euros. Not bad.

Then I saw a color video set-top box Conic TVG-406-6. The seller assured me that everything works – but I just have nowhere to put such things, so I had to refuse the purchase. Then I looked at eBay – they ask for about 100 euros for the device. In the background is a PS2 Slim box. It also seems to be in working order.

Laptops again – a lot of them, good and different.

Then I came across the Thinkpad E520. I bought it for 15 euros. It turned out to be inoperative – it does not react in any way to the connection of the LBP, not a single milliampere. Probably, the entrance mosfet is broken – at my leisure I will figure out what is wrong with it.

Used electronics markets are a very interesting topic, but we have other articles, check it out – we are talking about:
→ Small “raspberries” in a large data center
→ Dynamic UPSs in data centers: how we installed Piller CPM300 double conversion
→ Disassembly of a rare beast from Nvidia – DGX A100

The condition of the device is very good.

The next seller had a PDA from Acer – n300. It seems to be in fair condition.

A little further – the navigator, with all the wires, documents and a box.

An interesting device for those who like to create music. How advanced is this system, maybe who understands?

A bit strange headphones – they look strange. On the Internet, I could not find any mention of them. Maybe rubbish, or maybe something valuable.

A few more old video consoles – without accessories and power supplies. But it is quite possible that the workers. Locals often clean garages and throw away whatever they think they don’t need. Well, plus the majority simply have no idea what they are dealing with, so sometimes very valuable things are sent to the landfill.

Repeater from Belkin. Once I bought a similar one, turned on, but did not work. It turned out that the capacitor was swollen – I replaced it and everything worked like a clock. This device did not take – there are enough repeaters.

The budget headset, as far as you can tell, is new or almost new.

E-book from Woxter – budget, but quite workable. The seller asked for only 5 euros for her.

A cassette tape previously used for recording and downloading software and games.

Then I found a whole bunch of vintage cameras. Apparently someone cleaned their grandfather’s garage, not otherwise.

Film video camera.

Another interesting thing is Walkie Talkie in good condition and even with a box.

At the very end of the walk through the flea market, I came across a spinning wheel (is this a spinning wheel?). A very unusual system, and in such a good state of preservation. Probably, museums would be glad to have such an exhibit.

Finally, the whole flea market is passed, so you can ride around the surroundings – the views now (and always, however) are simply amazing.
