According to those who managed to test the OS, the interface is not buggy, there are no special lags, everything works as it should.

If there is a Google account, then after identifying the user, the system loads the “cloud profile” settings and synchronizes settings, bookmarks, policies, and everything else.

What is this all for

As mentioned above, the corporation says almost nothing about the purpose of creating the OS. Experts suggest that the casket opens simply – Google wants to increase the market share of its operating system, which is now extremely small. So, regular Chrome OS installed on 2.6% of devicesif we analyze the global market, and by 0.02% if we analyze the Russian market.

Despite the abundance of Chromebook models, they are not very willing to buy due to the limited functionality of such devices. In most cases, they are used in the educational field. Geeks also work with them, but there are not so many of them either. Well, since the market for inexpensive laptops is conquered by Microsoft, Google has to squeeze in. Now, perhaps, the company has a chance to start competing with the Redmond Corporation.

By the way, Google is also developing the usual Chrome OS. In particular, support for RGB keyboards was recently found in the source code, which seemed to have never happened before. Among the supported models are Vell, Taniks, Ripple devices. According to 9to5Google, the Vell is Quanta’s gaming Chromebook. Taniks is also a gaming Chromebook from LCFC, and Ripple is a hybrid device with an RGB keyboard. And the first two devices will receive, as far as we know, Alder Lake.

In general, based on all this, it is concluded that they will try to promote Google Chrome among gamers. It may well be that this is the case, Google is trying to develop a line of Chromebooks not only in the field of budget devices.
