On this topic, together with Dell Technologies and AMD, we held an online meetup on October 29, which was seen by more than 150 IT developers – both beginners and not so much.

Below is a recording of the event in case you wanted to jump in and watch but couldn’t.

The popularity of microservices infrastructure is growing: more and more companies are switching to it in order to more conveniently and faster develop applications and new client services in containers. But not all clients make this transition smoothly.

  • Was it difficult and time consuming to start a container environment from scratch?
  • Not enough DevOps engineers?
  • There are no clear instructions on how to differentiate responsibilities between Dev and Ops
  • Are infrastructure costs increasing unpredictably and disproportionately to the launch of new clusters?
  • Do you feel the pressure of business customers within the company to release products on time?

Using the example of cases for a bank, a retailer and a travel company, they told how to simplify the transition to a microservice architecture using ready-made Kubernetes clusters and reduce the cost of basic services while improving overall development efficiency.

In a programme:

  • Kubernetes as a service use cases: when you really need it
  • The Economics of DevOps: Is it Cheaper to Grow Competence internally?
  • Building areas of responsibility between the provider and the user of the K8s cluster
  • Life hack: how to quickly pass the approval by the information security service when implementing the Kubernetes cluster infrastructure using the example of the case with the Bank
