How to get ready for work?

It happens that you don’t want to work, but for example, do something else, do you have the strength? Now let’s imagine that you did a lot of push-ups and your hands are now falling off. Therefore, you can’t lift anything, but you can easily walk. The same thing can happen with your head, if some thoughts strain it a lot, it gets tired and thinks about something completely different.

Any work is work first of all with the head, because all our working skills and knowledge are stored in the head. Therefore, for good work, it is very important to be concentrated on work. If at work we think about home and family problems, then it will become much harder for us to work and we will quickly get tired. After all, every thought on which we are distracted spends our resources.

And here you need to understand that focusing on work is not to strain your willpower and do it through your teeth. Not! Focus is to ignore everything superfluous!

When you think about something, you do not immediately bring the thought to mind. Your mental thread often breaks because the resources of the brain are limited! And that’s when you stop thinking, at that moment you can start to have your head in the clouds. This is normal, you just strained your brain, but he didn’t get anything good in return. So your head decides to think about something else. And if there is a reason nearby, for example, to chat or sit on the phone, then she will do it. And if you have a working atmosphere and all these distracting things are not around, then after a while, the head will rest and get back to work.

But even at work itself, there can be so many things, such as a blockage, that even without being distracted by extraneous matters, the head is already boiling! We physically cannot hold many thoughts at the same time, so a lot of work must be divided into many small ones. And then programmers will now say: “why are you talking to me about task decomposition?”. I have tried to learn Python many times before, but faced psychological barriers. Therefore, I began to delve into this topic. And here it’s not about decomposition, it’s about dopamine. It stands out not when we are looking forward to an event, but when we do it. In fact, when we clearly say what we are doing right now, it is easier for us to get the job done!

For example, you have no desire to wash dishes. Then you just say to yourself: “Okay, I won’t wash, I’ll just go to the kitchen!” We got there, then also just take the sponge in your hands, and so the dishes will be washed step by step!

Such a division into small steps allows us to feel confident, because we see the work done and understand that we were really busy with our work. But sometimes dividing a big task into small steps can take the form of a schedule or a plan.

The wrong schedule or plan can discourage you from working. After all, if we cannot influence it, we may worry that we may not be given realistic deadlines or the amount of work. Or, if we ourselves take part in the creation of such a plan, we ourselves may misjudge our own strength. And here we come to such a non-obvious thing as incompetence. Simply put, we feel that we are not very good employees, we don’t know much and we have a fear that sooner or later we will mess up. The feeling of fear is a complex thing to give one clear working advice. But for the sake of this article, it will be appropriate to say that it is better to tell colleagues at work honestly that you are not succeeding. You may look a little silly like someone who constantly asks stupid questions, but this is how you grow and deal with this fear.

It is very important for me to know whether my thoughts are going in the right direction, so if you agree or disagree with something, whether you had such or another, I will be very interested.

Thank you!
