How IT specialists are trained in capital colleges

On July 26, System Administrator Day, colleges share success stories of young workers in the information technology industry.

College applicants are increasingly choosing professions in information technology. In mid-July, more than 17,000 applications were submitted for programs related to programming and application development. And the admissions campaign will continue until August 15.

Already from the first year, students acquire their first practical skills, get acquainted with the basics of professions and try to master them more deeply. These stories are inspiring examples that show how the desire for knowledge helps young people achieve success in their profession.

First story

Ilya Fridrikov became interested in high technology from an early age. He learned programming languages, then began creating websites and doing system administration. At 18, he entered Educational complex “South-West” for the specialty “network and system administration”.

During practical classes, Ilya actively participated in upgrading the video surveillance system at the educational institution and set up telephone communication via the Internet. Ilya strives to continue to adopt the experience of his mentors and apply his own developments in practice.

Now he has completed his third year and works as an IT engineer in a large company. Together with project managers, he comes up with and implements new solutions that optimize computer networks and equipment in the workplace. After graduating from college, Ilya plans to go to university and continue to create and apply new technologies for the development of Moscow.

The second story

Since childhood Ivan Zolotarevwas interested in computers, and already in his teens he became interested in computer science. The young man chose the specialty “information systems and programming” in Financial College No. 35.

Ivan did just that: during his studies, he passed an interview at VimpelCom and showed himself well during his internship. Now the young man is 18 years old, he is a second-year college student, works as a senior engineer and earns about 100 thousand rubles. To do this, Ivan Zolotarev studied the basics of network technologies and many other aspects related to the profession.

The third story

Vladislav Shatokhin graduated College of Communications No. 54 named after P.M. Vostrukhin last year. The young man studied in the field of “information security of telecommunication systems”. He chose the college on the recommendation of a friend.

“In college, I gained knowledge and skills that were very useful to me in my work. During my studies, I learned to solve complex problems, work in a team, and also gained self-confidence. I am grateful for everything that college gave me, and I remember my school years with warmth.”

He currently works at the Moscow Fire and Rescue Center: he administers and configures various security systems on computers, and also monitors user actions. He adds that he plans to continue developing in the profession.

The fourth story

“Without IT specialists, the work of any company and the entire country would come to a standstill”

His first place of work was the IT company “TUKKI”, where he got a job as a junior technical specialist. Thanks to his knowledge and experience, he was able to grow to the position of technical specialist.

Later, the young man took the position of a systems engineer at the RT TV channel. According to Yuri, a technical support employee must be able to find a common language with people, be able to perform several tasks simultaneously and understand the degree of responsibility for their actions, because the efficiency of the entire organization often depends on their work.

The fifth story

Cristina Burlacu chose Moscow State College of Electromechanics and Information Technology on the advice of her math tutor. The girl says that she has always been interested in the IT field, technology and network security. Already in her third year of studying “information security of automated systems”, Kristina got a job at the travel agency “TOUR KOMPAS”, where she supported the smooth operation of employees online.

“I succeeded thanks to the college teachers. Their advice allowed me to easily master information technology and start my career path while still studying.”

This summer, Kristina graduated from college. She continues to expand her skills — she also does website design. The girl is sure that self-improvement and hard work will help her achieve success and become one of the best specialists in the field of information technology.
