Getting a DUNS Number for Mobile Developers
Next, you need to select the user group you belong to. We chose “Developer Program”.
After that, select “Create New DUNS”
Next, you need to select the location of your company. Select “Outside US”
In the form that appears, you must fill in the information about the company as detailed and accurate as possible, so that no questions arise in the future. All required fields are marked in red.
In the first block we filled in only the company name. If your company name is in Russian, it is better to indicate it here not simply as a transliteration, but as it appears in the documentation or on the main website.
Next, you need to indicate the location and address of the company, as well as the phone number.
In the next block, we tried to specify optional fields. In the “Home-Based Business” block, select “No”. In the “Business Structure” field, we wrote Development department, and also indicated the number of employees, the date of the company's foundation, and a link to the site. In the process of searching for a solution by DUNS number, information was found on the Internet that it is advisable to indicate a link to the site. That this contributes to a positive decision on the application.
In the last section of the form we did not specify anything. Click “Next”
Next, a window opens where you can attach documents that can confirm information about your company. Here, too, we did not specify anything additional
Click the “Submit” button and after that an application for registration and receiving a DUNS number is created. Also, a notification about this should come to the email address you specified at the beginning of registration
Five days after submitting the application, we received a notification by email about the successful registration of our company. The DUNS number was received and was in the same letter. There were no clarifications or requests for additional data.
Later, we needed to register another company of another legal entity. This time, we filled in the company data in less detail, for example, we did not indicate the website. This time, the review lasted a little longer, and about a week later, the Russian representative office of the organization that issues and registers DUNS numbers contacted us. They asked us to send them the TIN and OKPO of the company for which the application was submitted in a response letter. But two days after sending this data, we also received a letter with a successfully registered DUNS number
