Gauss Smart LED Strips

In addition to the large number of lamps and luminaires in the new Gauss Smart Light series, there are two types of smart LED strips for decorative lighting. Like other devices in this series, tapes are controlled over Wi-Fi using the convenient WiZ app.
I have tested both tape models.

I recently talked about Gauss smart lamps (habr.com/ru/company/lamptest/blog/518320). I mentioned that in the Gauss Smart Light series there are not only many different lamps and fixtures, but also ribbons.

The two models differ only in the length of the tape (and, accordingly, in the total power and brightness).
Model 5010122 for 5439 rubles with a 3-meter tape gives up to 1000 lm of light and consumes up to 12 watts.
Model 5020122 for 6839 rubles with a 5-meter tape gives up to 1400 lm of light and consumes up to 16 watts.

Includes reel with tape, power supply 12 V 20 W, control unit, instructions.

Everything is connected on connectors. The power supply has a standard round connector 5.5×2.1 mm, the tape has a six-pin connector.

The tape is “protected” IP44, consists of sections of 16.6 cm. Each such section has three groups of LEDs, each has a “warm”, “cold” and RGB-LED.

The boxes indicate the power and luminous flux in different modes:

3 meters tape – 6.7 W 520-550 lm at 3000K and 6000K (“warm” or “cold” LEDs are on), 12 W and 1000 lm at 4000 K (two types of LEDs are on at the same time), 5 W, 2 W, 2.6 W (red, green and blue LEDs are on, respectively).

5 meter tape – 9.3 W 750-770 lm at 3000K and 6000K, 16 W and 1400 lm at 4000 K, 7.3 W, 3 W, 3.6 W in red, green and blue light modes.

The tapes are controlled by the Wiz application in the same way as the lamps: you can adjust brightness, color temperature, color, enable dynamic modes, set up control with a conventional switch.

There are many dynamic modes.

Ribbons, like other lamps and luminaires, can be combined into groups to be controlled as a single device.

When the tape is off, the power supply and the controller draw 0.55 watts from the mains.

I have tested the tapes in various modes. Since the tapes are sold as a ready-made lighting device (tape, power supply, controller), I measured the power consumed from the mains (usually when testing tapes, I measure the power consumed from a DC source).

The measured power in all modes is close to the declared one. There is no light pulsation. The ribbons have a declared color rendering index of more than 80, according to the measurement results it was 87-88, this is an excellent result.

In warm light mode, a 3-meter tape provides the same amount of light as a 60-watt incandescent lamp, a 5-meter equivalent to a 75-watt incandescent lamp.

Spectra in warm, neutral and cold light modes.

Gauss smart strips can be used for both decorative lighting and lighting applications. The Wiz application has integration with voice assistants Yandex.Alice, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and the IFTTT control system, which allows you to connect these lamps to almost any smart home system.
