CIPR is always different from other conferences. On the one hand, many quotes from government officials and officialdom about the agreements, memorandums, framework agreements that have been concluded leave the platform for the media, on the other hand, business-like, heated and often sincere debates on pressing issues are conducted in the sections. The sessions are so strong and exciting that even at the end of the third day on a warm summer day, some 300 meters from the view park on Strelka, rather dense halls gather. And you can write about CIPR in different ways: lists of agreements and contracts or stories about sessions and expositions. There are enough lists on Habré and in the news, so I’ll tell you about what I managed to see and hear in two full working days at CIPR (May 31 and June 2). Apples and pears at the stands of the chemical industry brought a smile. By the way, about ecology and the agricultural sector. A well-developed concept of an environmental project was presented, the technological partner of which is Rostelecom. The EcoCloud project is a unified cloud platform for collecting environmental data that has already passed technical tests together with Roshydromet. According to experts, EcoCloud should reduce the number of people affected by natural disasters (by more than 2% per year), reduce budget expenditures in this area (by more than 7%), increase the efficiency of weather-dependent sectors of the economy (for example, increase productivity in agriculture). If the numbers seem small to you, then no, they are big – in this area every fraction of a percent matters. EcoCloud is not a random initiative. Currently, more than 20 state bodies and corporations collect and process digital data on the environment independently of each other (Roshydromet, Ministry of Agriculture, Rosatom, Rosaviatsia, border guards, RusHydro, etc.). Comprehensive data analysis is difficult and often simply impossible. Add to this morally and physically obsolete equipment and manual measurements – it turns out that a huge set of valuable data does not bring its maximum benefit. All of the listed organizations cannot solve this problem on their own, which is why the idea of the EcoCloud integrated solution appeared. This is an intellectual environment that allows you to organize the interaction of sources and consumers in terms of collecting and processing eco-data. CIPR 2021 seemed non-industrial to me: most of the sections, exposition, design, conversations on the sidelines – everything rang with the words “NFT”, “Bitcoin”, “crypto-anything”. The speakers assured the listeners that there would be no other investments and aspirations than the virtual world. This year, it seems, only one session is somehow related to the NFT. And no, no one is talking about ChatGPT from every corner. They talk about the real sector and real problems.
Working in “pure” IT, you do not always guess what needs other companies have. Living in Nizhny Novgorod, a very industrial city in a very industrial area, you hear from friends and acquaintances something about the life of factories and industry. enterprises. CIPR showed that the industry needs IT, moreover, companies have learned how to make IT and are ready to provide themselves with software and offer software to other enterprises. At the exhibition in 2023, it is obvious that modern Russia has formed a demand not for virtual reality and flashing glitches in pictures, but for the utilitarian and competent use of technologies: software for industry, security systems, software and hardware systems. In general, I would like to tell about the battle of robots, and about numerous stands and expositions, and about people, spontaneous acquaintance with whom gave new value and new knowledge. I would like to praise the organization and the delicate work of volunteers on the site. But this is largely obvious. Let me tell you about my last observation: there were a lot of students, young scientists, young developers and company leaders. They know exactly where they are going, they are talented and promising. And it is no coincidence that experts expressed concern for the younger generation, which is interested not only in Western, but also in Eastern engineering and development, and Mikhail Mishustin clearly and firmly outlined the strategy for working with programmers. Keeping and developing these guys is probably the main task.
