Manufacturers, despite the fall in demand for electronic devices from buyers, continue to supply a variety of PC models. Miniature systems were no exception in February 2023. Today we will look at 5 new models that are worth paying attention to.

Chatreey AM08

Here we have a combo of performance and unusual design. The developers have made the device not like any other. And so that the user does not miss the power button, they made it simply huge, placing it in the upper part of the case.

By the way, the model is not one, but two, the difference in characteristics is shown below.

The device is designed in such a way that the user can quickly replace some module, such as RAM. One of the side panels is attached not with screws, but with magnets, so to replace the RAM or disk, it is enough to remove the panel and carry out the necessary operations.

Both models support three monitors, both have an active cooling system, although not particularly noisy. By the way, you can set three performance options:

  • Low performance and quiet operation.
  • Balanced option.
  • High performance mode

Kubuntu Focus NX

We wrote about this device in one of the fences. Released last year, the model came with 11th Gen Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processors. Now there is a model Kubuntu Focus NX Gen 2 with Intel Core i7 12th generation.

As for the software, the device is “sharpened” for the use of GNU/Linux. The default OS is Kubuntu. It’s Ubuntu with the KDE Plasma shell and a variety of applications for work and the like. It is worth noting that the company did not build its device from scratch. She just finalized the Intel Panther Canyon NUC.

Here are the specs:

Ports and connectors:

The device is not cheap, the initial price for the “basic” version, if such a term is applicable to a powerful device, is $955. If you don’t want to spend a mountain of money, you can choose the previous model, the Focus NX, which starts at $695.

And this is a Chinese mini-PC with quite a desktop AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. Accordingly, the device can be called productive. Moreover, a device was designed to work with a discrete video card, for example, RX 6600M.

To cool the system, you can install four coolers at once, although the system will be noisy, of course.

It is also known that the device supports DDR4-3200, there is a PCIe 3.0 slot, as well as a place to install a hard drive and / or SSD.

So far, neither the cost of the device, nor the date of its release is unknown.

There is much more information about the “little brother” of the previous device, including the cost. The device itself is a mini-PC with high performance, given the dimensions of the device. Case size – 128 x 128 x 48 mm. Inside is an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS Rembrandt-R processor. The device supports up to 64 GB of RAM. There is also a 40 Gbps USB4 port, 2.5 GbE Ethernet, and two HDMI ports.

This is one of the first PCs with the 13th generation Intel Core P-series chip. It is based on the Raptor Lake architecture. The company presented several models at once. Device case size is 110 x 117.5 x 38 mm (SSD only model) or 110 x 117.5 x 47.9 mm (HDD model).

Several configurations are available for each model. However, all versions support up to 64GB of RAM, PCIe Gen 4, multi-display, and 2.5 GbE Ethernet.
