Updated information on the current situation with NGINX.

We always try to be open with you, our esteemed customers, and therefore strive to keep you updated on current business events. The situation is developing hourly, at present we are trying to find out all its causes in order to share the facts we have with you.

On December 12, law enforcement officers came to the Moscow office of NGINX (the company earlier acquired this year by F5 Networks), apparently with the goal of gathering evidence on an intellectual property dispute to which F5 is not currently a party. Law enforcement officers presented a search warrant, we continue to work to clarify all the circumstances of the ongoing investigation. NGINX co-founders Igor Sysoev and Maxim Konovalov were interrogated by investigators, but not one of the employees is currently arrested or detained. F5 Networks fully supports its employees and believes that all claims against them are unfounded.

Immediately after the events described above, we took all measures to ensure the security of our main assemblies NGINX, NGINX Plus, NGINX WAF and NGINX Unit – all of them are stored outside of Russia. No other our products are being developed in Russia. F5 Networks continues to strive to develop its NGINX, NGINX Plus, NGINX WAF and NGINX Unit products, and we will continue to provide the highest level of support our customers expect.

As the situation develops, we will keep you informed. Please contact if you have any further questions.

We greatly appreciate your continued support for F5.

Regards, Gus.
