In the 3rd year, a company that cooperates with the university came to us and told us about the vacancies they had and the prospects. I decided to go to an interview because I wanted to start working. In the end, they hired me, and I have been working there for a year and a half now.

I wanted to start working in my first year, I started looking for vacancies on hh.ru, Superjob, etc., but there was nothing suitable, or they all required people with more experience. In the end, the job found me itself. After the summer internship, I continued to collaborate with the company where I did my internship.

Let's be honest: HeadHunter and other platforms do not work for hiring students. “Star” students are invited to internships and practical training even before they start looking for a job. It is necessary that you as an employer start interacting with the student even before he gets a job with you.

Today is my Lean Manifesto Startup student recruitment. I am addressing entrepreneurs, team leaders and HR who are looking for stars for their teams. To find them, you need a platform where the student will constantly see your company, delve into its context, even when he is not looking for a job. At least 3 contacts with a novice specialist are necessary, ideally – 15-20 in various channels.

Such contacts usually occur through advertising on social networks, specialized platforms, job fairs or open days. But to organize all this, you need either an HR marketing department or a department for working with interns. That is, a separate team, and assembling it is an operationally difficult task.

We have created a solution that will allow you to minimize costs and interact with students from 100+ universities and colleges in one place. This is a system “Campus” – an application to which students, universities and employers are connected. It knows everything about students: city, university, faculty, year, subjects studied, teachers, interests and work preferences.

Some numbers

The app has been downloaded by 900 thousand people, active users who see information from companies and universities – 200 thousand. These are students from the 1st year of bachelor's degree to postgraduate students. With us, students go all the way from entering the university to graduation and even after graduation remain in the app, watch courses, etc. By the end of 2024, according to our estimates, the number of active users will reach 500 thousand.

We know that an active user visits our app 109 times a month, i.e. on average 3-4 times a day. With such frequency, you as an employer can build a brand and a whole communication strategy with a student, and not just advertise vacancies.

“Campus” is used by students from 100+ universities and colleges. These are not only capital educational institutions, such as Moscow State University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, MISiS, but also regional ones. Below is the full list.

An IT integrator contacted us, who needed junior business analysts. We set up a target by city, university and faculty, and specifically, we posted a vacancy only for guys from the mechanics and mathematics departments of Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University and Kazan Federal University (Kazan). In 2 weeks, we attracted 40 people to the initial interview. 30 people passed the basic testing and interview. Technical interview, interview with the team and in-depth tests were passed by 5 people who began working with the company. Now we work with this company according to the same scheme and hire front-end developers.

Another case with MarksMan – a leading company in the field of recruiting specialists, middle and senior managers for international and Russian organizations.

Sometimes companies need to hire employees urgently. The problem with this type of hiring is that there is a high risk of hiring insufficiently qualified specialists who will not grow in the company.

There were 6 days left before the start of the internship at MarksMan. The company had already been cooperating for 3 months with our competitor, who had a shortage of responses. In less than a week, we collected 20 qualified leads that met all the criteria (geography, direction, course). After the initial interview, 10 people remained, of which one was invited to the internship. At the same time, the total funnel (ours + competitors) was 140 people. 4 people came to the staff from competitors.

Result:

Campus Conversion – 1/20 in 6 days

Competitor conversion rate – 4/120 or 1/30 in 90 days

Our results of cooperation with companies for June 2024

In 30 days:

  • posted 60 vacancies

  • got 5000 clicks on the promo

  • received 400 responses

That is, on average, each vacancy promotion was clicked on 80 times and each vacancy was responded to 6 times.
