Console application that draws a heart in C #

Prologue

This code is not optimized or idealized, it is very simple and will be understandable for beginners (who I am), so I hope to understand). Well, this application was also created for the fun of it.

Here’s what I got as a result:

HEART WITH A WORD "LOVE"
HEART WITH THE WORD “LOVE”
TORN SYMBOL HEART
TORN SYMBOL HEART
DOT AXIS HYPERBALL
DOT AXIS HYPERBALL
CIRCLE OF DOTS
CIRCLE OF DOTS

The essence of the work

We have an array (screen), also called a screen buffer, which displays pixels (characters) on the screen in a specific order. In fact, we are making a program that draws graphs of functions (the heart is also just a graph of a function), the disadvantage of such an application will be that the graphs will be extremely inaccurate, because they contain only integers, but for displaying figures like a circle , the heart is quite suitable, the larger the scale – the more accurate it will be.

Creation

In the console itself, it is better to select the “Raster Fonts 8×8” font so that the character width = height, so as not to divide the height by two in the future.

Console.Title = "HABR @Frog_cry_too"; //TITTLE КОНСОЛИ
Console.ForegroundColor = ConsoleColor.Red; //ЦВЕТ ТЕКСТА В КОНСОЛЕ

//ИНИЦИАЛИЗИРУЕМ МАССИВ
int height = 100, width = 100;
char[,] buffer = new char[height, width];

//ЗАДАЕМ РАЗМЕРЫ КОНСОЛИ(РАЗМЕРЫ ТУТ ОПРЕДЕЛЯЮТСЯ ПО-СИМВОЛЬНО, ТОЕСТЬ 'СИМВОЛ' = 1)
Console.SetWindowSize(width, height);
Console.SetBufferSize(width, height);

//ЗАПОЛНЯЕМ МАССИВ
for(int i = 0; i < height; i++)
{
    for(int j = 0; j < width; j++)
    {
        //ВЫВОДИМ ТОЧКУ В ЦЕНТР БУФФЕРА
        int x = j - width / 2;
        int y = -1 * (i - height / 2); //ПО-СКОЛЬКУ РЯДЫ МАССИВА БУДУТ ИНИЦИАЛИЗИРОВАТЬСЯ СВЕРХУ ВНИЗ (ОТ 0 ДО 100), НАМ НАДО ДОМНОЖИТЬ НА -1

         //ЗАДАЕМ УСЛОВИЕ ОТБОРА(ПИШЕМ ФУНКЦИИ ПО КОТОРОЙ БУДЕТ РИСОВАТЬСЯ ГРАФИК)
         //ПО-СКОЛЬКУ ФУНКЦИЯ БОЛЬШАЯ, Я ДЕЛЮ ЕЕ НА ДВЕ ЧАСТИ
         int firstPart = x * x;
         int secondPart = (int)((y - Math.Sqrt(Math.Abs(x))) * (y - Math.Abs(x)));

          int heartSize = 500; //РАЗМЕР СЕРДЦА

          if (firstPart + secondPart <= heartSize)
          {
              buffer[i, j] = '♥'; //ЗАПОЛНЯЕМ СЕРДЦЕ СИМВОЛОМ КОТОРЫМ ХОТИМ
          }
          else
          {
              buffer[i, j] = ' '; //ЗАПОЛНЯЕМ НЕ НУЖНУЮ НАМ ЧАСТЬ БУФФЕРА СИМВОЛОМ КОТОРЫМ ХОТИМ
          }
     }
}

//ВЫВОДИМ МАССИВ
for(int i = 0; i < height; i++)
{
    for(int j = 0; j < width; j++)
    {
        Console.Write(buffer[i, j]);
    }
    Console.WriteLine();
}

//ЧТОБ НЕ ВЫВОДИЛСЯ ТЕКСТ ЗАВЕРШЕНИЯ ПРОГРАММЫ
Console.ReadLine();

EPILOGUE

In my code, I made methods for calling different charts – for easy use (well, I removed them into a separate class). Perhaps I will do the second part where I will show the code with separate methods and possible shading variations (well, I will show their principle).
