Firstlynew version released Configuration Calculator for Firebirdwith support for Firebird 5. To the calculator (completely free, available without registration) the server characteristics and load parameters are entered, the Firebird version and architecture are selected, and the output is an optimized configuration (firebird.conf and databases.conf). The configuration is intentionally more conservative than it would ideally be, so as not to degrade performance in any way. In addition to creating a configuration, the Calculator also includes an assessment of information from the Firebird database header, which will tell you whether there are problems with too frequent transactions or incorrect cache configuration.
