Comparison of salary growth for the administration of MSTU. N.E. Bauman and other employees

The salaries of ordinary employees remain almost unchanged, while the salaries of managers grow approximately exponentially or quadratically. Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

The salaries of ordinary employees remain almost unchanged, while the salaries of managers grow approximately exponentially or quadratically. Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

I wanted to add data for 2023 to the comparison; I went to look for a published document with executive salaries on the university website – it wasn’t there. On declarator There is no data for 2023 either. And here's why:

“Since 2023, anti-corruption declarations have not been officially published under the pretext of conducting a “special military operation” in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 968 of December 29, 2022. However, voluntary publication is possible.”

Of course, they don’t want to publish it voluntarily.

So, I decided to dig a little deeper into Data Science and compare the available data for 2020, 2021 and 2022 in order to track the dynamics of growth in the salaries of the rector and managers and the salaries of ordinary employees and teaching staff.

Initial data – information published in accordance with legal requirements on the average monthly salary of managers of MSTU. N.E. Bauman:

I carefully compiled the data for these three years into a general online table. I'll publish the resulting graphs.

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

It should be noted here that in 2021 the university changed its rector from Alexandrov Anatoly Alexandrovich on Gordin Mikhail Valerievich. Which led to some changes in the leadership team and the names of the rector’s positions. For a couple of positions, a slight dip in salary in 2021 is even noticeable.

How the rector's salary grew:

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

In the beginning Gordin was acting rector, so he received a salary slightly less than what he had Alexandrova.

The salary growth was steepest for the vice-rector, who manages the university’s finances:

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

On average, for managers (for those positions where figures for all 3 years are available), salary growth is not far behind:

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

At the same time, the growth of salaries of ordinary employees and teaching staff has a linear relationship:

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

Year 1 is 2020, year 2 is 2021, year 3 is 2022.

It can be noted here that, of course, there is also growth. But year-on-year growth is less than half the real inflation rate. And growth is still approximated by a linear dependence, and not, for example, exponential/quadratic, as with managers.

And you can also divide the salaries of managers by the salaries of employees – the latter receive on average 10-12 times less per month than our irreplaceable and twelve-fold talented management.

And the main news of this year! The employees obediently voted for changing the form of university establishment from budgetary to autonomous. This will allow tenders and purchases to be carried out without following the government procurement procedure under 44-FZ, which at least somehow restrained corruption and sister-in-law in the development of the university budget. Now don’t go to a fortune teller to see who and how will now get the most delicious contracts with Baumanka.

PS If you know a student or employee or teacher of Baumanka, please forward this post to him.
