BLOOD SUGAR

Hi all! RISE is in touch: a community about biohacking. Recently there was a question in the comments about what supplements can be used to reduce high blood sugar. I have specially compiled a selection of dietary supplements that help with this matter:

  • Cinnamon. Studies show that when taken on an empty stomach, it reduces blood sugar levels by an average of about 10 mg/dL in men with prediabetes and women with metabolic syndrome.

  • Magnesium. Improves insulin sensitivity in people with existing diabetes and may lower blood sugar in people with prediabetes or metabolic syndrome.

  • Curcumin helps lower blood sugar levels, and its regular use significantly reduces the likelihood of prediabetes in middle-aged men and women.

  • Alpha lipoic acid. Improves insulin sensitivity, helping control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

  • Chromium picolinate. Quite an interesting addition. Can reduce fasting blood glucose levels. It also reduces the level of insulin and glycosylated hemoglobin – HbA1c.

  • Vitamin D. Having optimal levels of vitamin D helps reduce insulin resistance in obese people.

  • Ginseng. Research has shown that ginseng can lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

  • Silymarin, component of milk thistle, lowers blood sugar levels, reduces hemoglobin A1c, and also reduces insulin resistance.

PS I myself thought that I didn’t drink anything special because of sugar, but I found in this collection what is in the usual daily stack – magnesium and D. So perhaps it has a positive effect without my knowledge))

How about you, did you have problems with sugar? Are you taking anything from the list?
