“Antibacterial” LED light bulb Osram

I’m overwhelmed with emotions, but I’ll try to control myself 🙂

In continuing my search for violet and soft ultraviolet (UV-A) in LED lamps, my eye fell on the LED antibacterial lamp – manufacturer’s part number: 4058075561571 “Household antibacterial LED lamp of classical shape“.

Recalling the recent gift of Osram LEDAS101, where nine (UVA ~375nm) LEDs illuminated a titanium dioxide mesh and air from a tiny fan was driven through all this economy (photo below). According to the manufacturer, this device was an air purifier, but this is not about it, I was interested in the principle of operation, namely that UV-A LEDs were used to achieve the photocatalytic effect. Therefore, when I saw a lamp from the same company with a description of this effect, I had a hope that UV-A LEDs were added to it and it can be considered some kind of budget replacement for Soraa LED lamps.

How wrong I was 🙁

This miracle of German engineering costs ~ 250r (I took it for a share for 150r).

After reading the promises about killing microbes with this lamp, I still decide to turn it on – the light from it seemed nasty and blinding to the eyes (as well as from ordinary LED lamps), there was no fluorescence effect of the paper, it looked yellow.

Apparently realizing that it is already useless to lie about 100,000 hours of operation, the manufacturer indicates more real numbers.

Measured characteristics: power 5.2W, cosf (PF) 0.52.

The lamp is made in China.

I remove the diffuser, there are no UV-A LEDs on the board.

The diffuser is ordinary, according to the manufacturer covered with a nano film sun cream titanium dioxide.

But what was really interesting: 7 LEDs consist of 2 crystals, and one of 4 – for what, a mystery …

Conclusion: another salt non-GMO soda. If a microbe should die from a collision with this lamp, then apparently only from overheating or old age.
