AI-powered 'clock' that predicts death date and Discord glitches

“Clock” that predicts the date of death

And this isn't even exactly clickbait. Scientists from the University of California have created an app that uses AI to determine the exact date of death. They called this thing Death Clock.

First, the app asks the user to fill out some questionnaires. In particular, it is interested in weight, sugar level, blood pressure, quality of sleep, level of physical activity, presence or absence (but we understand that more often than not) of bad habits and other things in the same spirit.

The AI also analyzes the user's mental state (how exactly is still unclear). And having carefully studied everything, the application gives the exact date of death. Just like that, firmly and clearly.

The goal of the development is to motivate a person to exercise and to give up everything harmful. The method is, of course, quite radical.

More details.

Discord was almost blocked, but so far it's all gone

This week, there were massive outages in the work of Discord, which, mind you, is used by 40 million people in Russia. On September 18, the mobile and web versions slowed down, but worked fine with VPN. It turned out that Roskomnadzor banned several pages from Discord in September. Apparently, these events are connected.

However, for now the messenger is working as usual. We hope it will continue to do so.

Kommersant reports the details.

Meanwhile, on Friday, YouTube users noticed that the video hosting service started opening for some people without a VPN. It opened for me. How about you?

That's all. If this is not enough and you want to read more, then this is a great article about how not to burn out in IT and why 90% of IT specialists face burnout.
