5 Servants for Your Purrator

Modern technologies penetrate all aspects of life, including cat care. In this post, we will show several devices that faithfully serve pets and, as manufacturers assure, make their lives more comfortable and enjoyable. And while robots take care of pets, their owners can calmly go about their business – even go somewhere for the weekend without having to involve a cat sitter.

If you have a device from the same opera, tell us about it in the comments – suddenly someone will buy one for their zamurchator. Well, let's begin!

The robot cleans up

Every self-respecting cat prefers to do its business in a clean litter box. And if there is no such box nearby, those same things can be done in a flower pot or even in the owner's slippers. So servant No. 1 is an automatic litter box, for example, Litter-Robot 3 Connect.

These devices have a self-cleaning system and weight sensors – they activate the cleaning process when the cat leaves the toilet. And when it decides to return again, ideal conditions will await it – and the slippers will most likely remain clean.

The pet owner can install an application on the phone and monitor the cleanliness of the device in real time. The manufacturer claims that the device is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and is suitable for pets of any age and size.

Litter-Robot 3 Connect is priced at around $549.

The robot feeds

Even if the owner is late at the office (again!) or burnt out and rushed off to a weekend retreat, feeding should be fresh and on schedule. So the next servant of the tailed ones on the list is a device for automatic feeding of pets and a hidden camera at the same time.

According to the manufacturer, the RCA Smart Pet Feeder can maintain a feeding schedule and control portion size, and it also has a built-in camera with a resolution of 1 080p. The owner can watch the pet in real time and not only: two-way audio communication allows you to hear the cat and talk to it (yes, even from a retreat).

The device reacts to movements, so the feeder “understands” when the pet is nearby. You can download a mobile application and remotely set up a feeding schedule, receive notifications.

The RCA Smart Pet Feeder costs about $150.

The robot is giving water

Well, you've eaten – now you can drink. Anyone who has ever dealt with cats knows how strong their urge to drink from the most unexpected places is. Anywhere but a bowl. A safe alternative to a sink or something worse can be drinking fountains.

The manufacturer of Eversweet 3 writes that the smart fountain is equipped with a filtration system, works silently and has several modes, including a power-saving mode. Like the previous devices, the gadget connects to a mobile application. It can monitor the water level and filter condition. If the filter is dirty, the user will receive a message that it needs to be replaced. Eversweet 3 also has a reservoir that will ensure an uninterrupted supply of water, even if the electricity is turned off. Again, if you want to break away for a weekend retreat – welcome.

The cost of PETKIT Eversweet 3 is about $50.

The robot helps not to get lost and not to get sick

The next servant is the Minitailz tracker, which helps pets maintain good health and not get lost. For example, if a cat has lost the opportunity to walk around the garden plot on its own. Minitailz uses the LTE-M cellular network to locate the pet.

The manufacturers write that the gadget tracks the location, health indicators and activity of the pet, monitors the heart rate and breathing. If the indicators deviate from the norm, the owner will know about it and will be able to contact the veterinarian. The system also records various types of pet activity: play, sleep, running, meowing. The data is generated in the form of reports, so that you can analyze the state of the body for a certain period.

Minitailz weighs only 37 grams and attaches to a collar. The battery lasts for 2 to 4 weeks of battery life. The price is about $99, with a subscription (needed to use the device) starting at $8.50 per month.

The robot entertains

Where would we be without entertainment – especially if the owner is not at home (again) and hunting for his legs will not work!

Here we have another robot – the interactive toy Migipaws Automatic Whack-a-Mole. The body has several holes from which feather toys appear. The device is battery-powered. There are sensors that are triggered when a cat approaches. After five minutes of inactivity, it automatically turns off to save battery power.

The Migipaws Automatic Whack-a-Mole costs around $33.

What about VR?

By the way, there are some very strange inventions. In 2022, the Australian company Isobar presented virtual reality glasses for cats. According to the company, the glasses will allow the owner to diversify the life of their pet and at the same time protect it from dangerous wildlife. For example, why shouldn't a cat catch fish or birds without leaving its native scratching post? But we have questions about the safety and benefits of such devices for pets in general. By the way, nothing has been heard about the glasses since the announcement.

Now it's up to you. Tell us in the comments if you've ever bought something like this for your cat and how you like it.
