18 Unconventional Tools for Solidity Developers

Gelato Network

Gelato Network is an automated system that allows users and developers to set up conditions for the automatic execution of transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. With Gelato, you can make transactions gasless, but the most interesting thing is to create tasks that will be automatically executed when certain conditions occur, such as a change in the price of an asset or reaching a certain time. If you need the ability to automate your smart contracts, Gelato Network is a very useful tool.

Cookbook is a completely free and open source registry of various smart contracts. Everything on the Cookbook is provided free of charge, including deployment and management tools. Some developers may charge royalties for their smart contracts, and these fees are transparently disclosed. Currently, the project supports all popular blockchain networks where Solidity is used.

13. OSWAR

OSWAR is an encyclopedia of all kinds of attacks and hacks on blockchain projects, smart contracts and infrastructures. I recommend that you familiarize yourself with this interesting project in order to understand what attack vectors exist and how to deal with them.

14. Builder0x69 JSON-RPC API

Builder0x69 is a free MEV Blocker RPC endpoint that will help you hide your transactions from MEV bots. In short, MEV (Miner Extractable Value) bots are programs that try to get the most out of blockchain transactions. They steal money by manipulating transactions on the blockchain in order to get more profit for themselves. This happens through activities such as front running and arbitrage to capture additional money that could go to other members of the network. But fortunately, we have technologies that “hide” the details of your transaction from bots.

To join this network with your Metamask wallet, create a new network:
1) Network name: Private Mainnet 0x69
2) RPC URL: https://rpc.builder0x69.io
3) Chain ID: 1
4) Currency: ETH
5) Explorer URL: https://scan.builder0x69.io

EtherMail is a service that allows you to send messages to Ethereum recipients using their Ethereum addresses instead of traditional email addresses. However, it offers features such as subscriptions and contact list management. In the process, I used EtherMail on a project site where the owners wanted to keep their off-chain data private. This is a great tool for communication in the Ethereum ecosystem, especially when it is important to keep in touch with participants without knowing their real email addresses.

Etherspot’s Buidler is a tool that provides account abstraction functionality (EIP-4337) on the Ethereum network. The abstraction of accounts allows users to interact with the Ethereum network without having to worry about gas and signing keys, which simplifies the workflow for end users. It’s all about mass adoption of cryptocurrencies and dapps. If you’re looking to build custom applications that make it easy to interact with the blockchain, then Etherspot’s Buidler Widget is for you.

17. blocktorch

Blocktorch is a multi-chain platform to analyze your contracts in real time. With Blocktorch, you can access the metrics, logs, and traces of your entire decentralized stack in one place. The team recently received a $4.2 million investment and are actively working on improving the product. I haven’t used Blocktorch myself yet, but I’m looking forward to giving it a try. If you have already used this platform in your project, I will be glad to hear your comments.

Moralis is a decentralized application (dApps) development platform that provides a wide range of features. It includes a Web3 API for interacting with the blockchain, the ability to deploy server functions, a database, and user authentication and management tools. Moralis.io simplifies the development of dApps and supports many blockchains. It offers a scalable infrastructure and has an active developer community.

Well, I hope you have found something new for yourself and will use it in your work. I will be glad and inspired if it helps you. If you have questions or additions to this list, please write in the comments.

I also remind you that on July 13 I will spend free lesson on the OTUS platform. Let’s talk about an introduction to smart contracts, namely, we will dive into the fascinating history of smart contracts, illustrating their origin and development until today. Let’s look at the areas of smart contracts application, presenting real examples of their use in various areas, move from theory to practice, creating and deploying our first smart contract using the Remix IDE online tool. Let’s finish the lesson with a discussion of known cases of smart contract hacking, consider the main vulnerabilities and how to fix them. I’m waiting for everyone.

Register and come. There will be a lot of interesting
